At K&A Contracting we take workplace safety very seriously and provide education and training to our employees to enable and motivate them to understand and comply with our safety polices. Our safety program uses federal, state and local rules and regulations as a minimum standard. We also use outside services, including Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA) to raise safety awareness.

These are some of the strategies that we’ve developed to maintain a safe workplace:

Develop a Safety Program: We created a safety program that outlines our company’s policies and procedures for maintaining a safe work environment. This program includes the responsibilities of employees, management, and contractors, as well as guidelines for identifying and reporting hazards.

Provide Safety Training: All of our employees receive safety training on a regular basis. This training should cover topics such as hazard identification, proper use of equipment and tools, emergency procedures, and safe work practices.

Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): We provide appropriate PPE, such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and protective clothing, to our employees. Making sure that they know how to use and maintain their PPE properly.

Conduct Regular Safety Inspections: Regular safety inspections are important in identifying hazards and correcting unsafe conditions or practices.

Maintain Equipment and Tools: We regularly inspect and maintain all equipment and tools to ensure that they are in safe working condition. Repair or replacement of any damaged or malfunctioning equipment is mandatory.

Communicate Safety Information: We ensure that all of our employees are informed about safety procedures, policies, and any changes to the safety program and encourage open communication about safety concerns and suggestions for improvement.

By implementing these safety guidelines, we help create a safer work environment for our employees and clients and reduce the risk of workplace accidents and injuries.
